NGK CERAMICS USA, INC. (NGK) has announced plans to expand their operation in Mooresville. The proposed investment would be the company’s 17th expansion for the acquisition of $9.4 million in machinery and equipment at their manufacturing facility in Mooresville. This investment would automate two of the company’s six extrusion finishing areas and five of the nine inspection lines. NGK expects the automation will improve the company’s productivity while freeing up several key existing personnel members to be deployed at other areas within the company.
