COVID-related hospitalizations statewide continue to climb, reaching 4,275 in yesterday’s coronavirus update from the North Carolina Department of Health & Human Services. New cases have also climbed but there was a temporary bump in yesterday’s data due to a reporting glitch that has been resolved. Yesterday’s new case total was 44,833. There were 87 new COVID deaths reported statewide yesterday, one of them in Huntersville.
