With Dr. Fauci saying we are seeing a decline in the acceleration of coronavirus cases, the NC Dept. of Health & Human Services is reporting an increase in the numbers of cases statewide, but an ongoing, steady decline in hospitalizations. The NCDHHS reported 3,761 new cases yesterday, up from 3,239 Wednesday and 2,148 new cases on Tuesday. New cases of the Delta variant appear to have peaked in North Carolina during late Agust/early September.
