The North Carolina Technology Association (NC TECH) has released its ninth annual overview of the state’s tech sector. Rankings for North Carolina include: #2 in percentage of its tech workforce made up of women for the 3rd consecutive year, #3 for average in-state tuition, #4 in tech occupations growth, #4 in higher education R&D in science and engineering, #5 in completed STEM Education Programs, #7 for start-ups from universities, #8 in both start-up job creation and early survival rate, and #9 for venture capital investment
