NC Values Coalition released a statement from Executive Director Tami Fitzgerald regarding Governor Roy Cooper’s State of the State:
“This past election, voters gave conservatives a majority in both chambers because they expect their elected officials to take a firm stand and restore parental rights and save the unborn,” said Fitzgerald. “Yes, the economy is booming but so is the abortion industry, as North Carolina has seen a 37 percent increase in abortions since the Dobb’s decision. The Governor shows no regard for the 30,000 plus pre-born babies who lose their lives every year to abortion. The only business that is going to hurt from ‘cultural legislation,’ as the Governor calls it, is the abortion industry, of which Governor Cooper is a beneficiary in campaign contributions.”
