The revised state budget includes critical funding for infrastructure, increases funding for school safety initiatives, and prepares our state to weather a potential recession.
Republicans in the General Assembly have spent the last decade ensuring our state would be on sturdy financial footing to avoid making the same mistakes the Democrats did during the last recession.
The funding breakdown for Senate District 29 are $150,000 to public safety and $5.65 million to infrastructure needs, making a total funding of $5.8 million!
“This is a responsible budget that responds to our current needs and plans for an uncertain economic future. The Appropriations Act of 2022 encompassed the entirety of the North Carolina State Budget Plan while addressing critical needs for District 29” said Senator Steve Jarvis (R-Davidson, Montgomery).
