Charlotte Water crews responded to a wastewater spill near Belle Isle Drive in Cornelius yesterday. An estimated 93 gallons reached Lake Norman out of 370 gallons that spilled. A cement truck accidentally damaged a low pressure pipe causing the overflow. There have now been 2,562 gallons of wastewater spilled into Lake Norman waters since February of this year.
