The Local Government Commission (LGC) has signed off on $109 million in grants for drinking water and wastewater projects around the state, and to fund inventories and assessments of infrastructure assets in a number of other towns. The grants received required approval in February from the State Water Infrastructure Authority that operates under the auspices of the N.C. Department of Environmental Quality.
