At 10am yesterday, an inadvertent siren activation was sounded by Charlotte Fire Communications for McGuire Nuclear Station in Huntersville. A silent test, which typically happens weekly per established procedures, was intended. There was and is no existing cause for concern. There was and is no emergency and no action is required.
