A Huntersville man said his son found a discarded, loaded gun Sunday while raking their home’s backyard. The gun was loaded, according the the boy’s father. His Dad got him to put the gun down, and the police were called. Turns out the gun, which had the safety turned off, was stolen. The father used that moment to have a conversation with his children about guns.
