Recently on Good Morning LKN, we were joined by Heather McKee and her daughter, Ella Rose, to share their family’s journey with vanishing white matter disease, a rare degenerative brain disorder Ella was diagnosed with at age two. Heather opened up about navigating the diagnosis, advocating for research and treatment, and how the Lake Norman community has become a “silver lining” for their family, while Ella continues to exceed expectations and embrace everything from baseball to time on the lake.
