EnergyUnited held a groundbreaking ceremony last Thursday to mark the beginning of construction for the Perendale Solar Farm. The ceremony was held in Mocksville at the future site of the solar farm and was attended by EnergyUnited representatives, community leaders, elected officials and project partners. The Perendale Solar Farm will be a 8.2 MW facility that will generate enough clean energy to power approximately 1,400 homes annually. The project represents part of EnergyUnited’s ongoing commitment to sustainability.
“We are proud to demonstrate the cooperative’scommitment to sustainability,”said Thomas Golden, CEO of EnergyUnited. “This project would not have been possible though without the collaborative efforts of our industry and community partners. We appreciate their support and are excited to now enter the construction phase of this project.”
