Wal-Mart Stores East, LP violated federal law when its Statesville location refused to provide a reasonable accommodation to a deli associate who was suffering from symptoms related to Crohn’s disease. The store ultimately fired the employee for excessive absences, even though they were for doctor and hospital appointments.
