Yesterday afternoon, just after 3, Mooresville Fire and Rescue responded to a call regarding a vehicle that had traveled off the roadway and was sinking in Lake Norman at 643 Williamson Road, Mooresville. Fire and Rescue discovered a retired NYPD officer and a boater had jumped into the lake to rescue the driver of the vehicle. The driver was taken to CMC for treatment. The Mooresville Police Department is investigating the accident.
