Recently on Good Morning LKN, we were joined by Dr. Tim Royer and Amy Royer, RN, hosts of Your BRAIN MATTERs on WSIC, to talk about the everyday choices that can influence brain health, focus, memory, sleep, and overall wellness. Amy shared how nutrition can be approached through a brain-based lens, while Dr. Royer explained why looking “upstream” at factors such as brain activity, sleep, respiration, and other underlying drivers can offer a deeper understanding of behaviors like anxiety and distraction.
They also discussed the connection between quality sleep and long-term memory, along with how travel across time zones can disrupt circadian rhythms and why light exposure can play an important role in helping the brain recalibrate. Catch Your BRAIN MATTERs Thursdays at 4 PM on WSIC.
