Lake Norman Media Group is reporting that the Town of Davidson is considering the pursuit of a downtown social district. At the town board’s March 28th session, Economic Development Director Kim Fleming presented commissioners with the initial proposal, which, by state statute, allows local governments to create defined outdoor areas where individuals can drink alcoholic beverages sold by permitted establishments.
