Dana Kelly, Executive Director of Lake Norman Humane, joined Good Morning LKN at The Serve Pickleball + Kitchen to share how an organization she first joined as a volunteer now cares for roughly 100 animals between its shelter and foster homes. She discusses rescuing dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters, the vital role of more than 100 volunteers, and how fostering creates space to help another animal in need.

Dana also shares the progress behind the Giving with Grace spay and neuter clinic, which is being developed to expand access to lower-cost veterinary services for pets in the Lake Norman community. Find adoption, fostering, volunteer, and donation information at LakeNormanHumane.org.
