A 19-year-old girl is dead after an overnight crash early yesterday morning on NC-540 in Apex, according to state Highway Patrol. At about 12:15am, troopers said they were called to Triangle Expressway, near US-1 North and Veridea Parkway in reference to a crash between two vehicles. A 19-year-old girl in one of the cars was already dead, according to Highway Patrol. An investigation is underway.
