Coach EP, Middle School Boys Soccer Head Coach at Community School of Davidson (CSD), joined Good Morning LKN live from The Serve Pickleball + Kitchen to discuss youth soccer development, school athletics, and the importance of building strong relationships with student-athletes. Drawing from his experience in soccer, football, and coaching throughout the Lake Norman area, he explains why middle school is a critical time to develop fundamental skills, confidence, and character.
Coach EP also shares what makes school sports different from club athletics, emphasizing the lasting connections between players, coaches, families, and their communities. He encourages parents to let children explore sports at their own pace, prioritize enjoyment over pressure, and embrace the opportunities that athletics provide both on and off the field.
