The Charter School Advisory Board has recommended revoking the charter of a 600-student school in Raleigh because of financial and management concerns. The board unanimously voted yesterday to make the recommendation following hours of presentations from both state officials and officials with Torchlight Academy. The North Carolina State Board of Education has the final say, and it’s currently scheduled to take up the Torchlight Academy recommendation for a vote Thursday at its regularly scheduled board meeting.
