Charlotte Stories is reporting that the Charlotte City Council just voted to approve public grant funding from the NCDOT to build a new futuristic “rail trail bridge” over I-277. According to the project’s web page, “This project will provide a new bicycle and pedestrian connection over I-277 from the CATS Blue Line Stonewall Station to where the existing Rail Trail ends under the East Morehead Street bridge.
