The Carolina Panthers will join Reidsville (N.C.) High School and the Reidsville community to celebrate the ceremonial groundbreaking for the school’s new synthetic football field and running track Tuesday, March 7. Rockingham County Schools Board Chair Kimberly McMichael, Superintendent John Stover, Reidsville Mayor Donald Gorham, representatives from the Carolina Panthers, and other community leaders will be joined by student-athletes from Reidsville High School and Reidsville Middle School.
Reidsville High School was awarded a $250,000 NFL Grassroots field grant from the Carolina Panthers and the NFL Foundation in partnership with the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) to support the school’s $1.5 million renovation project that will provide a new synthetic playing surface for Jimmy Teague Field at Community Stadium, as well as a new running track.
