WSOC TV is reporting that five years after snapping up Charlotte-based snack maker Snyder’s-Lance, Inc., food industry giant Campbell Soup Co. is closing its Charlotte office amid a consolidation effort. The company announced yesterday morning that it will shut the Charlotte office as well as one in Norwalk, Connecticut. It will consolidate those operations at its headquarters in Camden, New Jersey, where it plans to invest $50 million.
