Cornelius Today is reporting that the Ada Jenkins Center will use part of its American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 funding to make over its campus kitchen and cafeteria. “We are in the early-planning stages for this space, which will serve a variety of programing purposes, including potential (future) rental for commercial kitchen/food prep space for food trucks,” CEO Harold E. Rice Jr. says. The center will hold an information/learning session in the cafeteria 3:30-5:30pm Tuesday, February 21st to learn how the center might partner with area food truck operators. For information, email Heidi Acker, food pantry coordinator.
