WRAL TV is reporting that Washington County Sheriff Johnny Barnes is investigating after a fight involving cheerleaders led to a school resource officer being stabbed below the lip with a pen. Barnes said the incident happened at a basketball game Friday night at Washington County High School. The officer received a stitch at the hospital for the wound. No charges have been filed as of yesterday, but the incident is still under investigation.
