State Treasurer Dale Folwell travels to Asheville today to present the Western Carolina Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association with a contribution from the Department of State Treasurer’s Unclaimed Property Division. The funds will aid in the organization’s efforts to educate and support those facing Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia in 49 central and western counties of North Carolina, and to advance critical research toward treatment, prevention and a cure.
