Byron Allison, Manufacturing Specialist at Purple Heart Homes, joined Good Morning LKN live from the National Mall in Washington, D.C., for a Day 3 update on the weeklong veteran home build. He shares how the team overcame weather delays, transported prefabricated materials from Statesville, North Carolina, and completed the home’s walls and roof in a single day with support from volunteers and partners like The Home Depot and Owens Corning.

Byron also explains the importance of construction safety, quality inspections, and the next stages of electrical, plumbing, insulation, and siding installation. With the completed modular home headed to Glasgow, Virginia, for veteran Jim Taylor, he reflects on how every volunteer and contributor plays a part in changing a veteran’s life.
