Dr. Claire Rodrigues of White, Haines & Rodrigues Advanced Dentistry and Melissa Vincent, founder of Simply Spoken Life and an oral cancer survivor, joined Good Morning LKN to share their mission of bringing greater awareness to oral cancer and early detection. Inspired by Melissa’s personal journey—after a routine dental visit revealed a cancerous lesion—the two are hosting a free community oral health screening event to help Lake Norman residents check for early warning signs. The simple exam focuses on soft tissue checks, lymph nodes, and areas often missed during daily brushing, emphasizing how early detection can save lives.
The free community oral health screening event will take place Friday, March 27 from 8 AM to 3 PM at White, Haines & Rodrigues Advanced Dentistry in Cornelius. Register or learn more about the free event at https://www.drswhiteandhaines.com or https://www.simplyspokenlife.com.
