Suzy Lutz of Continuing the Mission joined us on Good Morning LKN to share how their organization trains and provides fully certified service dogs for veterans in North Carolina living with post-traumatic stress. Their approach focuses on long-term support, community connection, and helping veterans re-engage in everyday life. The dogs are trained for real, functional tasks—while also offering emotional grounding and companionship. One of the most unique ways the community can help is by becoming a weekend foster, giving dogs-in-training real-life home experience before placement. Even small donations make a meaningful impact.
