Several Lake Norman-area companies have been nominated in the NC Chamber’s “Coolest Thing Made in NC” contest. The online contest will recognize two winners among the 80 nominees as opposed to one: one for businesses with fewer than 100 employees, and one for businesses with at least 100 employees. Area businesses taking part in the contest include Huck Cycles, Boomerang, WaterDog Adventure Gear, Carrier and C.R. Onsrud. The first three fall under the small-business category.
