A 72-year-old man is dead after a bicycle accident in Fuquay-Varina on Saturday afternoon, according to Raleigh police. Officers say Richard Fish of Raleigh was hit when a Jeep hit a cyclist on North Main St. and Lake Wheeler Road near Highway 401. Police said the driver of the Jeep, who was cited for no operator’s license. Witnesses at the scene indicated that the cyclist made an improper turn in front of the Jeep, according to police. An investigation is underway.
