Iredell Free News is reporting that County Health officials reported a total of four deaths attributed to COVID-19 in August on the heels of nine deaths in July. Thirteen people who have tested positive for COVID-19 were hospitalized in Iredell hospitals as of Friday afternoon. Health officials reported 408 new laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 last week in Iredell County. Since the onset of the pandemic in March of 2020, there has been a total of 55,594 confirmed cases in Iredell.
