Hosted by mental fitness consultant and professional Tracy Alston, Mental Fitness Matters programming offers education, tips, strategies, and training around improving mental performance through the use of cutting edge technology, innovative solutions like brain mapping, biofeedback, and neurofeedback and so much more.

Tracy is also the founder of two companies located in Mooresville, N.C., New Mentality, P.C. and Mental Edge Fitness Solutions, Inc. New Mentality, specializes in treating mental health disorders like anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, and trauma without the use of medications. Mental Edge Fitness Solutions is a mental fitness company that specializes in helping athletes, executives and others manage emotions, overcome fears and mental blocks, rise above mental slumps and achieve at the highest levels in competition, school, the corporate office, and in life.

As a licensed professional counselor and a certified clinical trauma professional who is BCIA-certified in biofeedback and neurofeedback, Tracy draws on both her extensive training as well as her own athletic experience to help her clients.

A graduate of Wake Forest University, in Winston-Salem, N.C.  Alston earned top academic honors and a bachelor of arts degree in sociology. She attended Wake Forest on a full athletic scholarship, playing four years in the Atlantic Coast Conference as a shooting guard and small forward on the Wake Forest women’s basketball team. “I know from my own athletic and academic experiences that focus and full attention make a difference on the court – and everywhere else in life,” Alston says. “My goal as a counselor and neuro therapist is to help my clients find the best way to achieve that focus and attention. Whether it’s an athlete looking for a competitive mental edge, a business person who needs to advance, or a child with attention-deficit issues, I can help. Biofeedback and neurofeedback are amazing, effective techniques that help my clients every day.”
