British car maker Arrival isn’t the only electric vehicle manufacturer that will be building a battery plant in North Carolina. This week Toyota also announced plans to build their first US battery plant right here in the Tar Heel state. The new $1.29 billion facility will be located on a megasite in Liberty, NC, about 80 miles northeast of Charlotte. According to press release from the NC Commerce Department, the new facility will create at least 1,750 new jobs with an average salary of $62,234.
