The NC Dept. of Health & Human Services yesterday reported 1,339 new cases of the coronavirus statewide. The statewide positive test rate climbed to 7.8 percent. The Mecklenburg County positivity rate was again at 5.4 percent over the past 14 days. There have been no new COVID-19 deaths in North Mecklenburg since Oct. 29.
