WBTV is reporting that authorities say they have arrested the man they believe shot and killed a woman yesterday morning in the town of Spencer. Spencer Police Chief Michael File said that his officers responded just after 6am to a report of shots fired in the area of a house in the 500 block of North Salisbury Avenue, beside the Spencer Mini Center. Once they entered the home, they found the victim, according to Chief File. Police say her boyfriend, Antoine Jermaine Mills, is the suspect in her death. He was arrested yesterday afternoon by Cabarrus County deputies following a standoff in an area near Barnett Road. Cabarrus County Sheriff’s deputies, along with police from Spencer and Salisbury took Mills into custody. Spencer Police are being assisted by the Salisbury Police Department’s crime scene unit.
