“Say No” and “Not in our backyard” signs lined the streets of Salisbury recently, as residents pushed to prevent a Dollar General store from opening in their neighborhood. The Salisbury Planning Board had originally approved the proposal to rezone a piece of property to accommodate the store at Old Mocksville Road and Seventh Street.
