NC Senators Danny Britt, Jr. (R-Robeson) and Michael Lazzara (R-Onslow) held a press conference yesterday at the Legislative building in Raleigh to discuss SB189: Fentanyl Drug Offenses/Increase Punishment – legislation to combat the fentanyl and overdose epidemic. The bill, if enacted, would stiffen penalties for those accused of fentanyl trafficking. Senators Britt and Lazaara were joined by sheriffs, DAs and families who have lost loved ones to overdoses, and other members of the Senate Republican Caucus.
