North Carolina Community Foundation launched its NC Healing Communities Fund in January 2021 to benefit nonprofit organizations suffering from the financial impacts of COVID-19. So far this year, the Fund has distributed 115 grants, totaling $4,250,000. Of the organizations receiving grants from the fund, 100% report COVID-19 revenue loss of 74% and/or increased demand for services, 76%, and that 100% primarily serve marginalized communities.
