A child was severely injured after coming into contact with a live, downed powerline yesterday afternoon around 3:45 p.m., according to Mooresville Fire-Rescue. The powerline was adjacent to Mooresville Intermediate School on Coddle Creek Highway. The child was transported to Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, and then flown to CMC-Main. His condition has not been released.
