Police in Landis, with the assistance of other local agencies, conducted a traffic checkpoint Saturday night from 8 until midnight. The checkpoints were set up in the areas of US HWY 29 at Sheltie Lane and North Chapel Street at Landis Oak Way. Law enforcement agencies charged a number of drivers with DWIs, illegal weapons and drug charges, just to name a few.
