A recent case of human trafficking in Davidson County has shined a spotlight on the problem of human trafficking in the area. Area law enforcement say that men are grooming young girls and then trafficking them on the I-85 corridor. Chief Deputy Jason Owens of the Rowan Sheriff’s Office office said that traffickers are less likely to get stopped on the interstate than going through small towns and that makes it harder to catch the bad guys.
