On Friday, two-term State House member Bobby Hanig, Vice Chair of the House Freedom Caucus and Deputy House Majority Whip, announced his run for the new State Senate District 1 that was created this year through redistricting representing the following counties Northampton, Hertford, Bertie, Gates, Perquimans, Pasquotank, Camden, Currituck, Tyrrell, and Dare Counties. The primary election is March 8, 2022.
