This week on Good Morning LKN, Ashley Morgan of the Lowe’s YMCA and Marlo Mikeal of the Mooresville Exchange Club shared the story behind one of Lake Norman’s most meaningful community traditions — the July 3rd Summer Celebration and Field of Flags. What began as two separate events has grown into a powerful patriotic gathering honoring veterans, first responders, and the families who have sacrificed for our freedoms.

Ashley and Marlo talked about the impact of seeing hundreds of American flags displayed across the Lowe’s YMCA lawn, each dedicated in honor or memory of someone special. They also previewed this year’s celebration featuring live music, fireworks, food trucks, local vendors, and family-friendly activities throughout the evening in Mooresville.
