First responders had to close a section of Jake Alexander Boulevard near Biscuitville early yesterday morning after a sprinkler covered the road in water that turned to ice. The patch of ice also covered part of Mooresville Road near the Food Lion, and ice caused two traffic crashes before it was finally cleared a short while later. Photo credit: David Whisnant/WBTV
